Play Therapy
Play is the language of children. If we want to understand children and support their needs, we learn and teach through play. At DC Play Therapy, we use play therapy techniques such as art, games, sandtray and imaginative play. These are all used as tools to help facilitate children and adolescents’ learning life skills such as:
Social skills
Communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Frustration tolerance
Adjusting to life changes such as a move, divorce or loss
Using play techniques creates a fun and nurturing environment for children. Not only do we use play therapy help your child to learn and grow, but they will enjoy coming sessions.
